Pulwama, February 13 (KNO) : More than a dozen students of class 10th were injured in a mysterious blast inside private school in Narbal area of Kakpora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday afternoon. Sources told KNO that mysterious blast occurred inside the private school Falahi-i-Milat at Narbal when students were busy in taking tuition. A police officer while confirming the incident said they are investigating the nature of the blast. SSP Pulwama, Chandan Kohli said that FIR has been registered at Police Station Kakapora in this regard. He added all the injured persons are stated to be stable. The injured students are undergoing treatment at different hospitals including Srinagar’s SMHS, Kakapora hospital and others. Officials in SMHS hospital told KNO that they received 13 injured students and according to them, their condition is stable. Following the mysterious blast, clashes erupted between youth and forces in the district during which forces used tear gas canisters to disperse them. Meanwhile, Governor Satya Pal Malik on this evening deeply regretted the unfortunate incident of an explosion at a school in Pulwama in which many students were injured. Governor has prayed for speedy recovery of all the children and announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 50,000 for all those injured. He has directed the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to ensure best possible medical treatment to injured children.(KNO)
